In 2009/2010, Jen coordinated the development of options for the reconstruction of the Kinglake National Park office following its destruction in the 2009 Black Saturday fires. The project involved extensive community and stakeholder input. This work required high levels of sensitivity in working with post-Black Saturday communities.
In 2017 Parks Victoria accessed funding to support the recovery of communities affected by the 2015/6 Wye River-Jamieson Track fire.
Kismet Forward and Brett Cheatley Consulting were engaged by Parks Victoria to develop a prioritised list of potential projects. The criteria developed by Jen and Brett to develop the priorities included support by local communities and stakeholder agencies. The project involved interviews with over 40 stakeholders, as well as listening posts, meetings and a survey.
