Dog Controls: survey development and analysis

There is never a more divisive topic than dogs on beaches!

In 2021, Barwon Coast and the City of Greater Geelong contracted Jen to develop, analyse and report on a community survey regarding a trial no-dogs period during the off-peak season at the popular Ocean Grove Main Beach.

In 2022, the second year of the trial involved the exclusion of dogs from the beach for the entire year. Jen was contracted to repeat the survey process, and compare community feedback with that of the previous year. Her final report summarised the results and informed the final decision by the Barwon Coast Committee of Management and the City of Greater Geelong.
