In 2015 Jen facilitated (and reported on) a meeting of a variety of stakeholders of Lake Eppalock.
The meeting was held in response to concerns about the falling water levels of Lake Eppalock and the resulting impact on the environment, lake-based recreation and related businesses.
Attendees included policymakers, water entitlement holders, local government, lake users and neighbours, local business people, downstream users and people interested in tourism or the environment.
The meeting sought to increase understanding of the issues involved, the interests and obligations of different stakeholders, and possible actions that might result in the best outcomes from the dwindling resource. Jen undertook this work for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
