Community Vision and Council Plan Deliberative Engagement

The Local Government Act 2020 requires local governments to undertake a deliberative engagement exercise to ensure that their Vision and Council Plan reflect the aspirations and priorities of their communities.

In 2021 Jen was asked to plan, facilitate and report on a process involving a demographically representative community panel to consider a broad range of feedback collected from Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale residents. The panel, over four online sessions, deliberated on the community input collected via a Borough-wide survey and drop-in sessions (also facilitated by Jen). This intensive process led to the creation of a Community Vision and community-supported strategic priorities for the Council Plan.
