Hobsons Bay Air Quality Advocacy Plan

The City of Hobsons Bay is one of Victoria’s most appealing municipalities due to its rich heritage, beautiful environment, and diverse cultural fabric. However, its residents are also subject of poor air quality due to nearby freeways, industrial areas and Port facilities. Jen’s earlier facilitation of the Brooklyn Community Representative Group over 10 years was relevant to her 2023 facilitation of a community forum involving Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Brimbank Councillors and staff, State Govt, EPA Victoria and community members.

Following the forum, Jen drafted an Advocacy Plan to identify priority actions that Hobsons Bay Council and staff can take to influence and accelerate air quality improvements for the Hobsons Bay community.
